This app stores yournameand phone number and transmits a text message to police withyourName, Service Needed (Police Unit, Medical Personnel,Fire/RescuePersonnel), your exact GPS location, and your phonenumber. Allthis by just a couple of clicks can be transmitted topolice.Although Next Generation 911 hasn't come yet.... it WILLcomearound sometime in the near future and you'll be able to textto911. In fact, if you live in Maine you can do this now! If youlivein a state where 911 text hasn't been implemented yet, youcanchange the recipient number from 911 to another number(familymember, co-worker, mate, etc...) until 911 to text isimplement inyour area.
